I love their architecture! The for Heavens Sake mocktail is still my favorite. This time we shared the wedge salad (exceptionally delicious due to the great beets and ranch) and the Ruben Sandwich. The fries were also crispy n tasty n I don’t usually love fries. Every time has been great food, drinks, atmosphere & service. Important Note: The entrance is hard to find and confusing - There are no signs in the parking lot directing you there and when you get to the elevator and stairs that lead up to it, the signage directing you to the Richters Cork & Keg makes you think they changed their name and moved. It’s on the second floor of the building so def take the stairs or elevator and trust your instincts. :)
Attended a private birthday party and had the most amazing dining experience ever. The ambiance was relaxing. The food was exceptional. The steaks, salmon and Parmesan chicken were cooked to perfection. The green beans and Gouda mashed potatoes were hot and fresh. Drinks and hors de oeuvres were delicious. The staff was very attentive. My compliments to the chef for serving over 60 guests perfectly cooked food as well as the owners gracious hospitality, Definitely will be returning for another superb dining experience. Highly recommend!!
This place is so cute! We love the esthetic and enjoy stopping in for a drink. We finally tried the food and liked it a lot. Next time we’ll give the pizza a try! We had no idea there was an upstairs area as well, which is also a fun vibe! Definitely worth stopping in.
My wife & I really loved our entire experience last night at OBEN. Brian (bartender) is truly talented, and his recommendations were spot-on. We loved the variety on the menu, and would recommend the "Guy Roll" to any & all sushi-lovers. Aside from the excellent food & drink, the atmosphere inside OBEN is perfect for a date-night. The wait staff was excellent & we can't wait to come back soon! Thanks, Joi!
My siblings and I were visiting Boerne in March and had the incredible pleasure of visiting the Richter Tavern! We were especially delighted to meet Guy Sanders, the owner of the building, who took us on a tour of the Tavern, the Speakeasy, and the Cork and Keg wine seller/wine bar while we were there.
Outstanding service, great atmosphere, from the silent pictures playing on the walls to the awesome bathroom deco. The cocktails were fantastic and the old fashioned was one of the best I've had in the entire San Antonio region.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Richter. From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch, leaving us truly impressed. The attentiveness and care of the staff made the evening even more enjoyable. And let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of spectacular. Every bite was a burst of flavors that delighted our taste buds and left us wanting more. The ambiance added to the charm of the place, creating a welcoming and cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
Edited June '25, came back from Houston again a year later and had yet another fabulous meal with great food and cocktails. This time we had the Richter Fashioned and Paloma cocktails and for entrees the salmon (again) and butternut pasta, very tasty (maybe a tad heavy on the sage if that's not your jam)
It was our first visit and we loved it. The food was yummy and the team working there was spot on with customer service. So friendly and helpful.
Been to the Richter several times since they opened. Always an enjoyable experience. This time a party of 5x on a Thursday evening at 7pm. Weekdays are fine for seating, but we recommend a reservation for Fridays/Saturdays. Clean and friendly as usual. We usually get one of the burgers/sandwiches (which have never disappointed) but this time we also tried one of their pizzas (which was excellent). Paid parking lot immediately next to entrance, but free street parking available as well as free (in the evening) parking at the lots used by the gov't.
